Renowned corporate professional and Regional Council Member of NIRC of ICSI CS Arjun Tyagi, while speaking at a conference in Novetel hotel, Chandigarh, he highlighted the transformative journey of the Indian economy and emphasised the need for strong institutions, trust-based governance, transparency, innovation and sustainable growth to realise the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
He said that under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, India is moving with a renewed spirit of reforms, technology-led governance, infrastructure development and ease of doing business. The vision of Viksit Bharat is not merely about economic expansion, but about creating a prosperous, self-reliant, technologically advanced, inclusive and globally trusted India.
CS Arjun Tyagi emphasised that India’s rapidly expanding capital markets, growing entrepreneurship and increasing participation of citizens in the formal economy provide a strong foundation for the next phase of India’s growth. However, economic growth must be accompanied by transparency, accountability, investor confidence and responsible corporate practices.
While speaking to media he submitted that the journey towards Viksit Bharat requires a collective contribution from Government, industry, professionals, entrepreneurs, investors and citizens, with every stakeholder playing a meaningful role in strengthening the country’s economic and institutional framework. This is consistent with the Prime Minister’s emphasis on collective action and reforms across Government, society and industry.
He further said that good governance is not merely a regulatory requirement but an essential economic asset, as it builds confidence, facilitates investment, strengthens institutions and creates an environment for sustainable business growth.
Highlighting the role of the professional community, he said that professionals must continuously evolve with technology, AI, digital transformation, capital markets, ESG and emerging regulatory frameworks, while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity. He concluded by stating that “Viksit Bharat is not only a vision for 2047; it is a responsibility of every citizen and every institution today. Strong Companies build a Strong Economy, Strong Institutions build Trust, and Trust builds a Strong and Viksit Bharat.”
