Chandigarh, April 22, 2026
An unprecedented show of women’s strength was witnessed in Chandigarh today in support of the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’. The impactful demonstration was organized by Apna Hunar Sanstha, in which more than 300 women from different sections of the city participated enthusiastically.
The protest began from the main gate of Dev Samaj College, Sector-45, followed by an anger march across the area. Holding placards and raising strong slogans, the women expressed their strong resentment against opposition leaders who opposed the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ in Parliament.

The demonstration concluded with the burning of effigies of Rahul Gandhi and Mamata Banerjee at the dividing road of Sector-45 and Sector-33, symbolizing their protest. The women present unanimously stated that women empowerment should not remain limited to speeches, but must be implemented through concrete policies and decisive actions.
Representatives of Apna Hunar Sanstha stated that this movement sends a strong message for women’s rights and equal participation. They emphasized that women of the country are now fully aware of their rights and will not tolerate any form of opposition.
The entire demonstration concluded peacefully, clearly reflecting the unity, awareness, and strong determination of women power.
