*Free Spectacle Distribution Camp Organized by BJP Chandigarh for Labour and Worker Community in Sector 44*

Under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party Chandigarh Pradesh President Jitender Pal Malhotra, free vision spectacles were distributed today at Labour Chowk, Sector 44, to labourers and workers. During the health check-up camp organized last month, several workers were diagnosed with vision-related issues, and based on the recommendation of the doctors, spectacles were distributed to them today. It is noteworthy that during the previous health camp, eye examinations of 120 labourers were conducted, and as per medical advice, spectacles were provided to the eligible beneficiaries from that list.

Addressing the gathering, Pradesh President Jitender Pal Malhotra said that the labour class is the real foundation of the nation’s construction and development. He added that the country progresses through their hard work, and ensuring their health and providing them better facilities is the primary responsibility of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisions building a healthy India where every citizen is safe, healthy, and empowered. The BJP aims to ensure that the benefits of every welfare scheme reach the last person standing in the queue. Such initiatives are part of that commitment and represent a significant step towards addressing the real needs of the labour community.

The primary objective of this initiative was to connect the labour class with essential health services and improve their work efficiency. Beneficiaries expressed that with improved vision, their daily tasks will become easier, and their quality of life will improve. They thanked the Bharatiya Janata Party for this meaningful initiative.

The program was successfully organized with the support of the BJP Chandigarh Medical Cell. Medical Cell Convener Lalit Takiyar and team members Dr. Sanjeev Bhatia, Dr. Meena Chaddha, and Deepak Pathak played an active role. The medical team efficiently managed the record verification, spectacle testing, and distribution process.

Labour Construction Worker Union Sector 44 also played a significant role. Union office-bearers — President Ramlal Bairwa, General Secretary Gopal Shukla, Senior Vice President Gulab Chand Yadav, and Secretary Ravi Dubey — contributed by helping workers reach the venue and assisting in overall arrangements.

Such continuous public welfare programs organized by BJP Chandigarh strengthen the spirit of “Seva Hi Sangathan”. The labour class is the backbone of society’s progress, and their well-being and health security remain the top priority of the party. BJP Chandigarh will continue to organize such beneficial programs in the future as well.
