A melodic evening of music organized by Pracheen Kala Kendra in collaboration with Pt. Raghurnath Talegaonkar Foundation Trust to mark 100 birth anniversary of Pt. Raghunath Talegoankar
A special musical evening dedicated to mark 100 birth anniversary year celebrations of eminent vocalist , musician and Guru Pandit Raghunath Talegaonkar was organized by Pracheen Kala Kendra here today at 6:30 pm in the ML Koser Auditorium of the Kendra located in Sector 35/B , Chandigarh. The Talegaonkar family from Agra presented a musical evening in this program. Some well-known personalities of the music world were also honored by Pandit Raghunath Talgaonkar Foundation Trust during this event like Pandit Sushil Jain and Guru Shobha Koser along with Secretary of the Kendra, Sh. Sajal Koser were also honored.
On this occasion, Kendra also honored the President of Pandit Raghunath Talgaonkar Foundation Trust, Sh. Vijay Pal Singh Chauhan by giving Uttariya and a memento.
After the traditional lamp lighting, Saraswati Shloka was sung by Shubhra Talegaonkar . After this, Shubhra started withtraditional aalap followed by a melodic composition Ajhun Na Aaye More Mandirwa set to a vilambit in Raga Bhoopali. After this, she presented the composition in Madhya laya More Man Basi Saawari Suratiya. Then she doled out with Raas- Tirkit Ta Thaiya received applause. Among the artists accompanying Sh. Mehmood Khan on tabla and Pt. Ravindra Talegaonkar on the harmonium added success to the event. After this, Jatin Nagrani and Yuvraj Dixit took the centre stage to present various compositions based on beautiful rendition of Malhar sung by Tansen in Raga Malhar Shringar and Raga Miyan Malhar, Megh Malhar, Des Malhar, Gaud Malhar, Sur Malhar, Ramdasi Malhar, Nat Malhar, Jayant Malhar and Kamod Malhar etc. which were well received by the audience.
After this, a beautiful rendition of the vilambit composition Rooth gaye Manmohan composed in Raga Paraj was presented by Dr Mangala Talegaonkar Mathkar followed by another composition based on madhya laya – Kanha kart mose was presented which was highly appreciated by the audience. Apart from this, some special compositions were also presented in Raghunathanjali, which included Shadja ko sadh re in Rag Kalyan, Aaj chali Brij ki Naar in Rag Gorakh Kalyan, Javo javo Murari in Rag Bageshri, Kit ko chale bawari banaye in Rag Shankara, Rag Jogkauns- Eri aali kal na pare, Sughar Chatur Naar in Rag Jhinjhoti, Tarana in Rag Malkauns and Rag Vrindavani Sarang- Trivat- Titkat Gadigan Dha, which soaked the audience in the colours of music. Accompanying artists Dr Lokendra Talegaonkar on tabla and Pt Ravindra Talegaonkar on harmonium provided admirable support. At the end of the programme, all the artists were honoured with traditional Uttariya of the Kendra.
