Public Administration Department of Post Graduate Government College for Girls- 42, Chandigarh on Saturday (22-08-2020) organized National Webinar On theme “Evolving Role and Responsibilities of Police: Marching Towards Good Governance.” (पुलिस की उभरती हुई भूमिका एवं उत्तरदायित्व : सुशासन की ओर बढ़ ते कदम ।).In this webinar Dr. Akshat Mehta, Associate Professor & Dean, School of Internal Security and Police Administration, Raksha Shakti University (India’s First Internal Security and Police University), Gandhinagar, Gujarat, was key note speaker. Professor Binu Dogra, Principal of college was Chief Guest of the Webinar. Webinar started with the introduction of theme by webinar director Dr. Nemi Chand, Assistant Professor in Public Administration followed by the welcome address to key note speaker and participants by Prof. Binu Dogra. Dr. Abha Sudharshan, Head of Public Administration introduce the key note speaker and highlighted the role of police in good governance. Dr.Mehta explains in detail about the different aspects of police administration which can help in good governance. He told in his deliberation that impartial working, timely response and adherence to rule of law by police are the hallmark to win the trust of people and become citizen centric police. He answered all the questions raised by participants. 400 participants registered for the webinar but 777 participants attended this webinar through YouTube link. Mr.Jagan Nath, Dr.Silinder, Mr.Mohit, Dr,Dajender and Dr.Preeti Sharda are member of organizing team.
