It has it’s youth wing named, Rotaract Club Chandigarh Himalayan which aims to involve young minds and ideas for the welfare of the society. Rotary Club Himalayan Ranges was established in 1987, which has entered its 23rd year under the Presidentship of Rtn. Gaurav Ghai.
Rotary Club Himalayan Ranges in collaboration with Rotaract Club Chandigarh Himalayan organised a book donation drive on 23rd August 2020 with an aim to help the deprived in this pandemic. Since, Education has been the most affected sector, the club took an initiative to help those in need.
In this drive, text books were given to the children at YTTS, Sector 25 Chandigarh, Jyoti Swarup Kanya Aasra, Kharar and Apni Pathshala centers at sector 38 and 52 Chandigarh. More than 250 books were distributed to children overall. The students were provided with the help they needed academically and the word of quality education was spread.
The drive was successful and it indeed brought smiles on the faces of the children. The organisations pledge to take every initiative, to help the deprived section of society.
