Mother’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and warmth in St. Anne’s Convent School on Saturday, 02 May, 2026 in the school auditorium. The event was a heartfelt tribute to mothers, recognizing their love, care and invaluable role in shaping lives.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome at the entrance of the auditorium, where Parliament members greeted the mothers with traditional tilak and presented them with handmade cards as token of love and appreciation. The celebration formally began with a welcome address delivered by the students, who expressed gratitude and admiration for all mothers, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
A graceful prayer dance was performed by the students, invoking blessings for all. The audience was then treated with a mesmerizing musical performance by renowned singer Satwinder Bitti, whose soulful singing added charm and excitement to the event.
One of the most engaging segments of the program was “the Ramp Walk” by mothers and their children from Classes I to V. The participants showcased confidence, coordination and a strong bond, which was warmly applauded by the audience.
This was followed by a lively “Duet Dance Competition” featuring mothers and their children from Classes I to V. The performances were filled with energy, creativity and emotional connection, making it a memorable experience for everyone present.
The Principal Sr. Christy John addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of a mother’s role in a child’s life and appreciating the efforts of mothers in nurturing future generations. The event was concluded with a video presentation capturing special moments and celebrating the essence of motherhood and the prize distribution ceremony.
