In today’s era, the trend of organic vegetables is very fast in every type of diet. In such a situation, the importance of microgreens is not untouched by anyone. Experts also say from the study that it is a healthy super food, and soft texture, distinctive fresh taste, rich in anti-oxidants, minerals, vitamins, microgreens can be generally consumed in all kinds of dishes. Consumed in salads, sandwiches, chutneys, raita, lentils, vegetables and as a diet rich in micronutrients, which contain 40 times more nutrients, vitamins and minerals than mature vegetables. Microgreens once prepared   remains usable for 6 to 7 days. If it is consumed regularly, it strengthens both our health and immune system, because it keeps providing all the necessary nutrients for the body, which a healthy body needs. Mohit Nijhawan and Sanjay Arora run a microgreen farm under their research-based center “Ekkees” to avoid diseases like heart disease, diabetes, cancer, weak immunity, weak bones and teeth, in which 21 different varieties and flavors of microgreens are grown.
Mohit informed that in fact the food we eat everyday is not balanced, according to ICMR, WHO and National Institute of Nutrition, the risk of diabetes can be reduced significantly by the consumption of fruits and vegetables and a balanced diet. It is necessary to consume 350 grams of fruits, 150 grams of pulses/eggs and meat, 90 grams of nuts and seeds, 30 grams of fat and oil, 27 grams and 240 grams of grains in the plate.
Along with this, we create hydroponics setups in which every family can grow chemical free vegetables of their choice at home, in which water consumption is also 90% less than soil farming, and in this you can grow your home in less space. All vegetables can be grown by hydropanics and are free from pesticides too.
