Chandigarh: A walkathon was organized at Sukhna Lake on Sunday. Giving information, Dr. Neeraj Kumar, former President of the Indian Medical Association and Dr. Poonam and Vandana Narula, members of the Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecological Society of India, said that 1 out of 6 couples are struggling with infertility, but the process of artificial insemination has now become easier, and IVF technology can be beneficial for the couple who want to become parents.
IVF in the lives of childless couples who are tired of treatment at various places in the hope of having a child. Or the test tube baby technique works. According to the recent research, it has been seen that the increasing age of marriage, the passion for running and making a career has increased the problem of childlessness in the society. Because of this the laps of lakhs of women remain empty and the couple hides these things from the society and the family. According to statistics, 10 to 15 percent of the number of marriages that take place in India every year are childless.
Under the new test, a detailed examination of the genes and chromosomes of an embryo prepared with IVF technology is done before it is implanted in the woman’s womb.
On Sunday, about 100 paramedical staff and doctors organized a walkathon on the lake to create awareness about IVF among the residents of Chandigarh. Dr. Poonam said that many new researches are being done to make IVF technology accessible to common people. The medical world also has other methods of examining the fetus.
