Chandigarh , May 8 ,2022. A meeting was held today by the Department of Excise and Taxation in Industrial Area, Phase II, Chandigarh under the chairmanship of Sh. Randhir Singh (Assistant Excise and Taxation Commissioner).
The main agenda of the meeting was the issuance of bills. Mr. Singh informed the retailers that issuance of invoice is mandatory for every purchase and the defaulters would be penalized with a heavy fine as per the GST Act.
He also released a watsapp number 7973855325 for the assistance of both the customers and the shopkeepers.
Mr. Singh said that any customer facing any problem regarding the issuance of bills can send his complaint on this number and the department will take the necessary action immediately.
He also attended to the grievances of the dealers and assured them the solution for their problems.
In addition to other dealers, Sh Harendra, Sh Deepak Sharma, Sh. Naresh Kumar, Sh Sunil Bansal, Sh Naresh Aggarwal and Sh. Subhash Goyal were present during the event.
