Man held with 6 illegal pistols
Chandigarh, May 4 – Haryana Police has arrested a person after six illegal pistols and a live cartridge were recovered from his possession in Jind district.
Sharing the information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that arrested accused has been identified as Happy aka Kashi, a resident of Aleva.
A police team received a tip-off that a youth was roaming near a government school in Aleva area along with illegal weapons and he could use that to commit some crime. Accordingly, the police team immediately raided the location and arrested the accused. When searched, two 30 bore pistols, four 32 bore pistols and a live cartridge were recovered from his possession.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Arms Act. Police is also investigating his criminal background. The accused was produced in the court, from where they were sent to judicial custody.
