UT boys on the verge of defeat, Chandigarh at the back foot with 269 and 178/5 against Jharkhand’s 649/6 Chandigarh, UT boys continue to struggle against Jharkhand on the third day of the Col CK Nayudu trophy being played at Dhanbad on Tuesday. Chasing Jharkhand’s 649/6, visitors were bundled out for 269 runs as Nehal Pajni’s century (103) emerged as the top scorer while Harnoor Singh contributed fifty runs. From the opposition side, Manishi (3/11) and Kuonain Qureshi (3/61) took three wickets each. Poor show continued for UT boys in their second innings when Manishi (3/58) and Qureshi (2/59) did the damage for the opposition. Chandigarh was on the backfoot with 178/5 before the stumps were drawn. Harnoor Singh once again scored fifty while Arnav Bansal contributed 40 runs. Skipper Arjun Azad and Nehal Pajni added 27 runs each. Chandigarh is still trailing by 202 runs.
