Sports Department of Chandigarh Administration released scholarship to players who won medals in various sports competitions in the 2022-23 season.
Sports Departement Chandigarh Administration has realeased scholarship to 2485 players who have won gold , silver and bronze medal in school level competitions which were held during the year .
In light of this achievement, Chandigarh Administration has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 84,73,500/- (Rupees Eighty Four Lakh Seventy Three Thousand Five Hundred only) for disbursement through the PFMS DBT scheme to the 2485 deserving candidates.
Director sports has given instructions to release the scholarship amount directly into the players’ accounts.
This amount of scholarship has been released to the winning players of 31 sports for the competitions between 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023.
This scholarship initiative underscores the Department of Sports’ commitment to fostering talent and supporting aspiring athletes. It aims to provide financial assistance to deserving individuals, enabling them to pursue their sporting endeavors and excel in their chosen fields.
