Siddharth Se Buddha-An Awakening -DAY 3

Delhi Public School Chandigarh celebrated its wonderful and fulfilling journey of twenty years by staging the mega production, ‘Siddharth Se Buddha-An Awakening’. This production which involved more than 400 students has been meticulously planned and executed by the Principal Mrs Reema Dewan.

The four-day event that started on 11th December, 2023 entered its third day on 13th December, 2023, in the distinguished presence of  Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, U.T., Chandigarh as the Chief Guest.  Shvetta Arora, Regional Officer, CBSE, Chandigarh joined as the Guest of Honour along with Ms. Shipra Bansal, Chairperson CCPCR as the Honoured Guest. The Chief Guest appreciated the grandeur of the mega event and lauded the achievements of the school.

The direction showcased a masterful understanding of storytelling, with each moment carefully crafted to resonate with the audience. The show began with ‘Khudaya- Jashne-e-Sufi’, a soul stirring performance by the school choir, reinforcing the message of hope and universal brotherhood.This was followed by the musical exposition of the journey of Buddha from his birth, childhood and his renunciation of all worldly pleasures, to his encounter with the demons and tests of fate in his quest for ‘moksha’.

The Principal  Reema Dewan thanked the stakeholders of the DPS family especially the parent fraternity for its unstinting support as she proudly enlightened the audience with the achievements of the school in various fields saying that children are the cornerstone of our vision and mission. She also added that DPS, Chandigarh remains dynamic and proactive, consistently pushing boundaries in the realm of global education.

The mega production inspired and impressed the audience, making the presence and teachings of Buddha come alive.
