“PGI Residents sweep National Awards at 76th Annual Radiology Conference”
The 76th Annual Conference of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association was held at Vijaywada from 25.1.2024 to 28.1.2024.
This is the largest Annual Conference of Radiologists in India, and was attended by around 4000 delegates from all over the world. Prof. M.S. Sandhu, Head /Department of Radiodiagnosis & Imaging stated that is a matter of great pride for the Department and for the Institute that so many Faculty and Residents from Radiology Department were bestowed coveted awards at this National Conference.
Prof. K.S.Sodhi received the President’s Appreciation’s Award for his meritorious services rendered to Indian Radiological and Imaging Association.
Prof. Sameer Vyas got the All India Best Secretary Award for his outstanding services rendered to the Chandigarh Branch of Indian Radiological and Imaging Association for his achievements in the Membership drive of the Branch.
Dr. Daneshwari Kalage, a Resident from the Department got the coveted Dr. R.N. Ramadas award in the category of Best Research Paper on her Thesis work done under Dr. Pankaj Gupta.
Dr. Pallavi, another Resident from department got the 2nd prize, and Dr. Nandita got the 3rd prize for the E-poster presentation at this All India National Competition.
Dr. Sonam and Dr. Vansha, both residents of the Department, got 3rdprize in the All India IRIA Yuva Quiz Competition.
