(NCC) cadets from 2nd Chandigarh Battalion NCC celebrated National Women’s Day

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from 2nd Chandigarh Battalion NCC celebrated National Women’s Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. This significant occasion, commemorating the invaluable contributions of women to society, was marked by various activities organized by the cadets. The event commenced with a solemn tribute to the pioneering women who have played pivotal roles in shaping the nation and empowering communities. Cadets paid homage to iconic figures whose relentless efforts have paved the way for gender equality and women’s empowerment in diverse spheres of life.

In a series of engaging presentations and discussions, cadets deliberated upon the importance of gender parity, highlighting the need for inclusivity and equal opportunities for women in all domains. Through insightful dialogues, they emphasized the indispensable role of women in nation-building and reiterated the collective commitment towards fostering a more equitable and inclusive society.

Furthermore, the celebration featured interactive sessions with the Guest speaker, Sangeeta Joshi, Indian Information Service (IIS), Deputy Director, Central Bureau of Communication, focusing on Government schemes encompassing initiatives focused on education, healthcare, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and social welfare. It aims to address the unique challenges faced by women and promote their holistic development and empowerment. Through targeted interventions and support mechanisms, the scheme seeks to enhance access to education and healthcare services, facilitate economic independence through skill development and entrepreneurship opportunities, ensure social security and protection, and promote gender equality and women’s participation in decision-making processes.

“It’s important for women to listen to their bodies, eat intuitively, and make healthy choices that support their individual nutritional needs and lifestyle. Consulting with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian can provide personalized guidance on nutrition and dietary requirements,” said the guest speaker, Mrs. Kiran.

As part of their commitment to promoting gender sensitivity and social responsibility, NCC cadets undertook various outreach initiatives aimed at empowering women and advocating for their rights within the community.

The event culminated in a vibrant cultural showcase, featuring performances that celebrated the spirit, resilience, and achievements of women across the nation. Through music, dance, and creative expressions, cadets showcased their appreciation and admiration for the invaluable contributions of women to society.

On Women’s Day, the cadets of 2nd Chandigarh Battalion National Cadet Corps reaffirm their commitment to championing the rights and empowerment of women. Through education, training, and community engagement, NCC cadets stand as advocates for gender equality, encouraging inclusivity and respect for women in every sphere of society. Let us join hands to celebrate the achievements of women, challenge stereotypes, and work towards a future where every woman can realize her full potential.
