IPS probationers of  2017 batch called on Haryana DGP B.S. Sandhu

Panchkula: A group of 17 IPS probationers of  2017 batch called on Haryana Director General of Police (DGP), B.S. Sandhu at Police Headquarters, Panchkula.

          Interacting with the young officers, the DGP apprised about challenges of police and asked them to adopt professional police practices for better delivery of services in field. He also exhorted them to work with zeal and high devotion for ensuring the law and order as well as safety and security the public in their respective place of posting in cadre states.

          The DGP said that in the present changing scenario, duty of police is going to be more challenging day by day. Describing Indian Police Service as the best service in serving the public and society, he said that every officer will get opportunity in the field to deliver the people especially the needy and poor.  ‘If you are a good human being, you will be a good police officer. We are here to serve the public and society, thus you should deliver your best wherever posted in due course’. He also congratulated the officers for choosing police service as their career.

          Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), Mohd. Akil also held deliberations with them on various aspects of policing. He gave them important tips on police challenges such as dealing with public, crime, traffic management etc.

          Earlier, Additional Director General of Police, Operation,  A.S. Chawla gave the probationers a brief address on the policing and public service.  He also shared his experiences of professional training in the academy.

          Assistant Director, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad,  P. Vimaladitya, who accompanied these probationers, informed that 126 IPS officers of 70 RR are undergoing training in 2017 batch including 15 from Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives. The batch also has a presence of 17 women officers. The group is on a study cum cultural tour in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

          DGP Hqrs, K.K. Mishra, DIG, Administration, Rakesh Arya, AIG Provisioning Vikas Dhankar were also present on this occasion.

The IPS probationer officers includes Vineeth G, Shabarish P, Nikhil B, Adduru Srinivasulu, Karthik Malladi, Narra Chaitnya, Bindu Madhav Garikapati, Varun Guntupalli, BBGTS Murthy, Bogati Jagadeeswar Reddy, Pradeep Gunti, Mamoni Doley, Kshetrimayumn Ravikumar Singh, Richa Tomar, Lt. Galay Namgay, Vasana Vidhya Sagar Naidu and Priyadarshini Bhattacharya.
