Innovative, Brilliant Annual School Exhibition “The Annean Galleria-2018”

St Anne’s Convent School today organized the Annual School Exhibition “The Annean Galleria-2018”. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the invocation of the divine presence. A Synchronize Band Display by the school band was exhibited in honour of the distinguished guests. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Most Rev., Ignatius. L. Mascarenhas, Bishop of Simla-Chandigarh Diocese. The Guests of Honour on this occasion was Mrs. Gurneet Kaur Tej (Deputy Commissioner, Roop Nagar) and Special Guest Rev. John Bosco, Secretary, Simla Chandigarh Education Society.

School Exhibitions are usually a way of demonstrating to what degree the school has achieved the expected learning standards or learning objectives. The students of Senior Wing displayed their creative, scientific and aesthetic talents showing innovative, brilliant projects, functional models, informal diagrams and charts meticulously put together.

The Science Department presented working models on Hologram, Vending Machine, Smart Shoe, Robotic with coding and decoding, Power Speed Breakers, Drone and Digital communication. The Computer Department unraveled the various aspects of computer Programming and Designing using various software like HTML, Visual Basic, Q-Basic, Ms-Office, Ms-LOGO and Movie Making. The theme of the Social Science Department was The United Nations and its various agencies. The Languages’ Department showcased their exhibits in the three languages taught at School namely, English, Hindi and Punjabi. The Mathematics exhibition was a banquet to the eyes of parents. The concept behind the exhibition was the representation of the fact that ‘Mathematics- A poetry of Logical Ideas. The Art and Craft Exhibition were organized in the School Hall. The entire hall came to life with a kaleidoscope of various colours. Household items like glass, bangles, matchsticks, paper, and cotton wool were used to create decorations, wall-hangings, pen-stands, and many other craft items. The hard work and dedication with which the projects were made was evident in their beauty and precision. The students showcased their talent in stained-glass painting, lamp-painting, doggle painting, ceramic glass painting, and fabric painting. Moreover, crafts made from hand-made paper and the “best out of waste” projects were also put on display.

The distinguished guests showed keen interest in the working models and innovative ideas and also appreciated the application of imagination of the students and teachers.  The guests and the proud parents appreciated the hard work put up by the students under the guidance of their teachers.
