On the occasion of Bengali New Year (Poila Baisakh) at Tagore Theatre our Respected Sister
Principal, Sr. Sijji Isaac was felicitated with the award of Excellency of St Anne’s Convent School by
Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Punjab.
Our teachers and Students felt gratified to be a part of the Bengali Cultural program. Administrator
of Chandigarh as our Chief Guest and Shri Pawan Bansal (Ex Member of Parliament and Ex.Central
Minister) , Justice Harsimran Singh Sethi of Punjab & Haryana High Court and Shri A.S.Sidhu
President District Consumer Commission, Chandigarh were also present in the function.
Additionally, Chief Secretary-cum-Financial commissioner rural development and panchayats also
graced the occasion.
The program presented a vibrant and mesmerizing performance of the participants that revealed
the charisma of Bengal. Students of our school were very happy spectators of the Excellent
Scarecrow puppet show followed by songs and dance drama.
