A webinar on ‘Opportunities and Challenges of Machine Learning Based Solutions’ was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Applications, Panjab University in collaboration with Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur under the coordination of Dr. Rohini Sharma, Chairperson, Department of Computer Science & Applications Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dr. Harminder Singh Bains, Director, Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur.
The chief expert speaker, respected Dr. Vijay Mago, Associate Professor and Chairperson Department of Computer Science, Lakehead University, Canada and an Alumnus of DCSA, PU, highlighted the key challenges being faced in the current research projects being undertaken in his lab in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He talked about the research projects like estimating future growth and valuation of Art pieces, early treatment of sudden cardiac arrest, design automation and optimization using AI, Social media analytics, text simplification and many more.
