Whereas the poll in connection with the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Elections to be held on 24th December,2021
And Whereas it is considered necessary to provide opportunity to the public to exercise their right to franchise;Now, therefore in exercise to the powers conferred under Section 65 of the Factories Act,1948(Act No.LXIII of 1948) and under provision to sub-Section (i) of Section 10 of the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishment Act,1958(Punjab Act No.15 of 1958) as applicable to the Union Territory, Chandigarh, the Advisor to the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, hereby, declares, Friday, the 24th December,2021 as a paid holiday for all employees in Factories, Shops and Commercial Establishments falling in the area of Ward No.1 to 35 of Municipal Corporation, Union Territory,Chandigarh.
Notification No.12/7/30-HII(2)-2021/15148 DATED 22.12.2021 Issued earlier in this regard hereby stands repealed.
