The Department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh expressed deepest condolences and observed a two minute silence to condole the demise of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma ji, an eminent Santoor Vaadak on May 10, 2022.  Professor Neelam Paul, Chairperson in her condolence message said that Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan awardee Pandit Shivkumar Sharma ji has established Santoor Vaadan at new height of Music World.  His music will continue to enthral the entire music fraternity. All the students and staff of the Music department, including Dr. Prabhkar Kasyap, Mr. Soumen Bhatacharjee and Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma paid tribute to the legendary artist of the music world.
