Inauguration of Tree Plantation Drive from GH-1 and GH-2 in PU, Chandigarh

The tree plantation drive in Panjab University Hostels organized by Girls Hostel-1 and Girls Hostel -2 under the mentorship of Hon’able Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar on 07.07.2021. He along with Prof. S.K.Tomar (DSW), Prof. Meena Sharma (DSW-Women), Prof. Ashok Kumar (Associate DSW) ,wardens of Dr. Anju Goyal (Warden-GH-1)) and Dr.Harjit Kaur (Warden-GH-2) and wardens from other hostels formally inaugurated the tree plantation drive for PU hostels starting from GH-1 and GH-2 by planting a BEL tree. He shared his thoughts on the importance of various types of trees that can be planted in the
hostels and encouraged wardens, staff and students who were present there to adopt and take care of the trees planted. Saplings of various fruit and flower bearing trees were planted in both the hostels. The drive was organized with the an active support of the Horticulture wing of Panjab University.
