Competency based curriculum in community medicine: Bounce back from COVID to post- COVID pandemic period based on NMC guidelines.

IAPSM virtual pre conference workshop on Competency based curriculum in Community Medicine: Bounce back from COVID-19 to post-COVID-19 pandemic period based on NMC guidelines was coordinated by Dr. Pankaj B. Shah, Professor & Head, Community Medicine, SRMC & RI, SRIHER Chennai, Member of various committees of CBME and IAPSM coordinator. The session was conducted with assistance of the various experts from community medicine and CBME from all over India.
The program included the various aspects of CBME incorporating COVID-19 guidelines, NMC guidelines starting from Competencies, objectives, appropriate TL methods, formative assessment, summative assessment, feedback, reflection, skill-based training in community medicine.
It was followed by a group activity where all participants were divided in 5 small groups for a small group workshop activity and followed by all 5 groups presenting in the common session.
For ease of communication, pre conference workshop expectations were obtained from the participants and post-test feedback was also done.
All the sessions were made interactive in online mode. Overall excellent feedback was received. More than 55 delegates including academicians, students and public health professionals participated in the workshop from various part of the country.
