Honourable Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University, Chandigarh, Prof. Raj Kumar today inaugurated an international book entitled “Cation transporters in plants”, published by Dr.Santosh Kumar Upadhyay, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh. This book has been published by a highly reputed international publisher ‘ELSEVIER’. Prof. Kashmir Singh (SVC) was also present on the occasion. This book provides comprehensive and up-to-date information about major cation transporters and their applications along with the new strategies to cope with the adverse effect of various abiotic and biotic stresses in plants. It further aids agricultural research and industries in realizing the future of crop designing strategies. This book serves as an important resource for scientists and industry professionals.
