Chandigarh: The Banga Memorial U-19 T20 Challenger Cup witnessed two dominant performances as YPS Mohali and Panchkula Strikers secured emphatic victories in their respective matches.
In the first game, YPS Mohali outclassed Tript Tigers with a commanding 10-wicket win in a one-sided contest. Batting first, Tript Tigers posted 115/3 in 20 overs. Manik Chatwal top-scored with 40 off 44 balls, while Yuvi Mishra contributed 39 off 46 deliveries. However, the team failed to accelerate in the final overs.
Chasing the modest target, YPS Mohali displayed exceptional batting prowess, reaching 119 without loss in just 11.3 overs. Anhad Singh Sandhu starred with a शानदार unbeaten 84 off 44 balls, smashing 10 fours and 6 sixes. He also impressed with the ball earlier, claiming 2 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs, playing a crucial all-round role in the victory.
In the second match, Panchkula Strikers dominated Sunrise Cricket Academy with a convincing 96-run win. Batting first, Panchkula Strikers scored 169 runs in 19.2 overs. Rahul Sood led the charge with 42 off 35 balls, while Shuchendra Vikram Singh added 39 off 25 balls and Aarav Aggarwal chipped in with a quickfire 36 off 17 deliveries.
In reply, Sunrise Cricket Academy were bowled out for just 73 runs in 13.3 overs. Sid delivered a match-winning spell, picking up 5 wickets for 14 runs in 3.3 overs, while Sahil Singh supported well with 4 wickets.
With such dominant performances, both matches added excitement and competitive spirit to the ongoing tournament.
