Solan, April 7, Commemorating World Health Day, Shoolini University, in collaboration with Maharishi Markandeshwar University, organised a comprehensive health camp, aligning with the national vision of Viksit Bharat and promoting the importance of preventive healthcare.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness of health and well-being while providing accessible medical services to students, faculty members, and staff. A team of experienced healthcare professionalsprovided expert consultations across general medicine, ophthalmology, orthopedics, and dermatology.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the university community, with a large number of attendees availing free medical check-ups and professional advice. Key services included eye screenings, bone health assessments, and skin consultations. The doctors also emphasised the significance of early diagnosis, timely intervention, and adopting a healthy lifestyle.
Highlighting the broader impact of the initiative, Mrs Poonam Nanda, Director Sustainability, noted that such programmes contributed to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of ensuring good health and well-being for all. The camp facilitated immediate healthcare support and encouraged individuals to become more conscious of their physical well-being.
