All rounder Lucky helps team 311 to dominant win over team 299,
Apex meeting of UTCA held
Chandigarh, An all round performance from Lucky Kari helped team no 311 to register an emphatic 82 runs win over team no.299 at the ongoing Gully Cricket Tournament being organized by UT Cricket Association in collaboration with Chandigarh Police at GMSSS, Sector 8 on Wednesday. While opting to bat first, team no 311 posted 155/7 in ten overs wherein Lucky smashed 35 off 16 balls. In reply the losing team was restricted to 73/9 as Lucky proved vital by clinching three wickets.
In other notable matches of the day, Team No. 392 beat Team No. 401 while Team No. 58 beat Team No. 62 by five wickets. Team No. 52 beat Team No. 53 by 27 runs, Team No. 473 secured a 48-run win over Team No. 449. Team No. 422 defeated Team No. 446 by six wickets and Team No. 284 outplayed Team No. 264 by seven wickets.
Meanwhile, Apex Committee meeting of the UT Cricket Association (UTCA) was held to review the arrangements for the upcoming quarterfinals, semifinals, final matches and the closing ceremony of the ongoing Gully Cricket Tournament. UTCA President Sanjay Tandon shared key updates regarding the grand finale. He informed that the closing ceremony will be graced by CM Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini as the Chief Guest. Rajeev Verma (IAS), Chief Secretary, UT Administration will attend as the Guest of Honour. The former Test cricketer and current Chairman of the Cricket Advisory Committee, BCCI Ashok Malhotra will be present as a Special Guest.
