Kumar conferred with ‘Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians ( FRCP) of London
PGIMER’s Dr. Ashok Kumar, Professor-cum-Additional Medical Superintendent in Dept. of Hospital Administration has been conferred prestigious ‘Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) of London.
Dr Sarah Clarke, President, Royal College of Physicians conferred certificate on Prof. Ashok Kumar in a convocation held on May 16 in London. FRCP is one of the oldest establishments dedicated to improve medical care. It identifies and honours medical professionals who have exceptionally contributed to the medical field through their services.
Prof. Ashok Kumar received FRCP fellowship based endorsement by his fellow physicians locally and nationally, and in recognition of his important contribution to the domain of hospital administration.
Presently placed avs Professor-cum-Additional Medical Superintendent in Dept. of Hospital Administration, PGIMER, Prof. Ashok Kumar has to his credit, WHO Fellowship in the year 2013 at School of Public Health Universities Indonesia, Jakarta and Fellowship of Indian Association of Preventive & Social Medicine (FIAPSM) in the year 2023.
Prof. Ashok Kumar was deputed as a Medical Superintendent at AIIMS, Rishikesh from 31.8.2012 to 7.7.2015 for its commissioning. He was also designated as a Medical Superintendent at AIIMS, Raebareli. He is also Nodal Officer of PGIMER Satellite Centre Sangrur, Punjab since 19.10.2016.
Prof. Ashok Kumar did his MBBS in the year 1992 and MD in Community Medicine in the year 1996 from L.L.R.M.Medical College, Meerut University, Meerut, UP and served as Chief Medical Officer of Farraka Barrage Project Hospital, Farraka, West Bengal under Ministry of Water Resource, Government of India in 1996.
After serving for four and half years there, Prof. Ashok Kumar joined as a Deputy Medical Superintendent at PGIMER, Chandigarh in the year 2000 and escalated to the post of Professor in the year 2018.
