An Investiture Ceremony of the new School Pupil Leader, Vice Pupil Leader, House Captains and Parliament of St. Anne’s Convent School, Sector 32, Chandigarh, was held today during the morning assembly at School premises.
The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.
A total of 20 students of Parliament were sworn in by Reverend Father Ambrose, the School Manager. Students from classes VI to XII and the teachers were present on the occasion. Fr. Ambrose presented the school pupil leader, assistant school pupil leader, captains and vice captains of four houses with their respective flags after attiring them with sashes.
Sister Principal Jessey Augustine addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of the positions the students were going to assume.
Ekamjot Kaur and Gunpreet Kaur Bakshi are the School Pupil Leader and Assistant School Pupil Leader for this session. The Captains and Vice Captains of the four houses are Jasmehar Singh Sandhu and Bhakti Soni (St. Joseph’s House), Sanvi Luthra and Ginni Bal (St. Mary’s House), Ishant and Sargun Grover (St. Gabriel’s House) Yuvraj Singh Dhaliwal and Jasmine Kaur (St. Stephen’s House). The other Parliament Members are Partyaksha and Semone Attri (Discipline Ministers), Tanishka Arya and Anaya Rai (Cleanliness Ministers), Nivedita and Daksh Kapoor (Sports Ministers) , Manvi Singla and A. Hannah Grace ( L. A Ministers Sr.), and Saanvi Walia and Jevy Jain (L.A Ministers Juniors) also took the oath.
Fr. Ambrose after the Oath taking Ceremony had an interaction with the new team and discussed the various aspects for the welfare of students and school.
Following this, St Anne’s also celebrated the occasion of Labour Day, which is observed on May 1 across the world recognize the working classes. The students and staff of the school got together with great zeal to felicitate and applaud the workers who work tirelessly to ensure smooth functioning of the school.
The ceremony ended with the singing of the national anthem.
