The Department of Life Long Learning and Extension celebrated “Janma Diwas of Amar Balidani Bhagat Singh Ji” today. The faculty member, students and staff members of Life Long Learning attended.
Dr. Parmjit Singh Kang, Chairperson, Department of Life Long Learning & Extension elaborated to the participants the personality of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, his family background, educational background, important events of his life i.e. Shahidi of his uncle S. Ajit Singh, Shahidi of Lala Lajpat Rai, killing of John P. Saunders and throwing of bomb on the Central Legislative Assembly etc., his intellectual understanding of history and ideology of Karl Marks.
Dr. Kang informed the participants that Shaheed Bhagat Singh was born on 28th September 1907 and scarified his life at the age of 23 years. But his teaching and sacrifice will continue to influence the life of millions in the centuries to come.
