Heads of KVs Panchkula shared their Assessments of various Schemes Implemented under NEP 2020

The conference started with a brief introduction and overview of the National Education Policy 2020 by Shri Vijay Yadav, Regional Officer, CBSE .In his address, Shri Vijay Yadav, Regional Officer, CBSE laid emphasis on the Government of India’s focus on revamping education through shifting focus to need based education where the students emerge with their subject knowledge and greater competency skills for the future. He also said that One of the focal points of NEP are PM SHRI Schools which have been hailed as the schools of Rising India. From 2022-23 to 2025-26, A budget of Rs 28,000 crore has been kept, wherein 14,500 schools would be opened by 2026. 4,448 schools of the first phase are already operational.’’Smt. Seema Khakha, Head, Centre of Excellence, CBSE, Panchkula said ‘’We as education departments are working and contributing our best efforts to realize the vision of NEP’.
The press conference also witnessed addresses from speakers representing various government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas, and Javahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. The Speakers included Smt.Kamlesh, Deputy District Education Officer, Panchkula , Shri.Roop Chand, Principal , Javahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Mouli, Panchkula,Sh. RC Sharma , Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Chandimandir, Panchkula, Sh.Kewal Singh , Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2, Chandimandir, Panchkula, Sh.sunil Kumar, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bhanu Panchkula , Shri Lalit Kumar, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, CRPF Pinjore , and Shri Asinder Kumar, District Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Coordinator , Panchkula .
The address by the speakers of these institutions gave insights on major school education initiatives that included PM SHRI, Holistic Progress Card, ULLAS, NIPUN Bharat, National Assessment Centre, PARAKH, Vidya Pravesh, NCF FS(National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage ) , NDEAR, PM e-VIDYA, Vidyanjali , Integrated Teacher Education Programme and National Professional Standards for Teachers (NPST).

In conjunction with the celebration of the 3rd anniversary of the National Education Policy 2020, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the second Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam on 29th July 2023 at ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The two-day event, jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, promises to be a platform for launching various innovative initiatives aimed at further strengthening India’s education ecosystem.
