‘Meri Mati Mera Desh Abhiyan’ launched in many districts of Haryana

 

Shilaphalakams (memorial plaques) will be installed in gram panchayats

 

Soil from different corners of Haryana will be taken to Delhi in Amrit Kalash Yatra to make Amrit Vatika.

 

Chandigarh, 9th August 2023

 

“Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign was launched in several districts of Haryana to pay homage to the heroes who laid down their lives for the country. The ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign, which will run from August 9 to August 30, 2023, will include programs to be organized at the village and block level, local urban bodies as well as at the state and national level.

In this campaign, various programs will be organized across the country to remember the heroes. Shilaphalakam (memorial plaque) will be installed in the village panchayats in his memory. This campaign is the concluding program of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was launched on March 12, 2021 and witnessed massive public participation with over two lakh events across the country.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had recently announced this campaign during the broadcast of his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme. The purpose of this campaign is to salute the brave freedom fighters and heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country.

The campaign will include events such as installation of Shilaphalakam dedicated to freedom fighters and security forces, as well as initiatives such as ‘Panch Prana Sankalp’, ‘Vasudha Vandan’, ‘Veeron Ka Vandan’, which will salute the heroic sacrifices of our bravehearts. Shilaphalakams or memorial plaques saluting the spirit of sacrifice of local heroes of village, panchayat, block, town, city, municipality etc. are to be installed in urban and rural areas. It will carry the message of the Prime Minister along with the names of those people belonging to that region who have laid down their lives for the country.

To make ‘Amrit Vatika’ in Delhi, ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ will be carried out by taking soil from every corner of the country in 7500 urns. This ‘Amrit Vatika’ will be a symbol of commitment towards ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.

 

District wise inauguration activities under ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh Abhiyan’ were as follows:

 

Karnal: The Meri Mati-Mera Desh campaign started on Wednesday with different programs in Karnal district. ADC Dr. Vaishali Sharma has called upon more and more people to come forward and be a part of this campaign. In village Moonak, not only the villagers but also the students planted saplings under Amrit Vatika. Army soldiers were also honored under the Meri Mati-Mera Desh campaign. Under this, a retired soldier from the Indian Army was honored in Dhamanhedi village of Indri assembly. On the other hand, in Khedi Mansingh village, the youth and elders of the village together planted saplings under the campaign. Students of Badgaon school played an important role in the campaign. He actively planted saplings under Amrit Vatika. Women came forward and planted saplings in Kheda village. The craze of Meri Mati-Mera Desh campaign was also visible in the Government College of Gharaunda. Here the students planted saplings. Students, teachers and villagers took oath by lighting lamps in Kunjpura village. Similarly, different programs were organized in almost all the villages across the district under Meri Mati-Mera Desh campaign.

 

 

 

Rewari: Under Meri Mati Mera Desh program, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Rewari Deputy Commissioner Imran Raza, Gram Panchayat and New Youth Club in village Padla Block Khol under Meri Mati Mera Desh program running at Gram Panchayat level from August 9 to August 15 This program was launched in collaboration with Under this program, people planted 80 saplings showing public participation, salutation to the soil – Sarpanch Shri Sheonarayan and dignitaries of the village felicitated Subedar Shri Bir Singh ji by garlanding and giving Gulmohar plant.

 

 

 

Faridabad: Tribute was paid to Shaheed Jai Bhagwan Sharma by offering flowers in Hirapur village of Faridabad district under the festival of Independence, Meri Mati, Mera Desh. Along with this, 75 plants were planted in Amrit Vatika.

On the same occasion, the retired soldiers of the village were honored and saplings were also planted by their hands. Village elders and retired soldiers participated in this program as chief guests. Sarpanch representative of the same village, Girraj Sharma supported Yuva Seva Sangathan, where Yuva Seva Sangathan is taking a very unique initiative to make the village green.

 

Yamunanagar: Under the Mera Mati Mera Desh campaign with the tagline Mati Ko Naman Veero Ka Vandan, various activities like planting 75 saplings, unfurling the national flag, taking the Panch Pram Pledge and installation of Shilafalkam were organized under the leadership of Gram Panchayat Sarpanch and Secretary.

 

Panchkula: Under the Mera Mati Mera Desh campaign, 150 saplings were planted in Panchkula in the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Tekchand, DIG ITBP and 175 youth took the Panch Pledge and bowed down to the soil.

 

Jind: As per the instructions of Dr. Manoj Kumar, plantation drive is being carried out in all the gram panchayats of district Jind under Meri Mati Mera Desh programme. District Youth Officer Mr. Harpreet said that on the auspicious occasion of 75th anniversary of independence, a target has been set to plant 75 saplings in every gram panchayat.

 

 

 

Ambala: Under Mera Mati Mera Desh campaign, 75 saplings were planted in Ambala district. The gathered people took the pledge of five lives. Martyr Swaranjeet Singh’s wife was also honored on the occasion.

 

Hisar: Under the Meri Mati Mera Desh programme, plantation drive was conducted in all the Gram Panchayats of District Hisar as per the instructions of Mr. Uttam Singh. District Youth Officer Mr. Harpreet said that on the auspicious occasion of 75th anniversary of independence, a target has been set to plant 75 saplings in every gram panchayat. On this occasion, there will be five life oath, flag hoisting, national anthem activities.

 

Kurukshetra: Meri Mati-Mera Desh program was organized in different villages of all blocks of Kurukshetra district. Under this programme, saplings of medicinal and fruit plants were planted in various villages in the memory of freedom fighters, martyrs and eminent personalities. Along with this, saluting the heroes, the oath of Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal was administered.

 

Last year, “Har Ghar Tiranga” programme, became a grand success owing to participation of one and all. This year too, Har Ghar Tiranga will be celebrated between 13th -15th August, 2023.
