Chandigarh, 2 July 2026: Recognising the pivotal role of capital access in fostering enterprise growth and economic development, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Northern Region, organised Capital Connect: Strategies for Fundraising and Growth at the CII Northern Region Headquarters in Chandigarh. Bringing together senior industry leaders, policymakers, financial institutions, and market experts, the conference served as a platform to connect capital providers with businesses seeking growth capital, while enabling enterprises to better understand funding avenues aligned with their growth aspirations.
The conference focused on equipping businesses with practical insights into today’s evolving capital ecosystem and the wide range of financing options available to support growth. Deliberations centred on helping enterprises make informed fundraising decisions, strengthen financial preparedness, and navigate an increasingly dynamic investment landscape through expert guidance and industry perspectives.
Highlighting the importance of putting available capital to productive use in India’s journey towards becoming a developed economy by 2047, Mr. V. Sundaresan, Former Executive Director, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) said, “In these challenging times, it is vital that whatever capital we have is put to productive use. The conference featured two knowledge-rich technical sessions that examined the fundraising journey from multiple perspectives. ‘Banking and Beyond’ explored innovation in banking, alternative debt funding options, and the growing role of credit rating agencies in enabling businesses to strengthen their financial position in an increasingly volatile environment. Complementing these discussions, ‘Navigating the Capital Landscape: From Debt to Equity’ provided participants with insights into identifying the right capital mix, evaluating funding avenues, selecting suitable IPO platforms, and preparing for successful capital raising through robust due diligence. The conference also included an engaging Experience Sharing segment, where industry leaders shared practical insights and real-world fundraising experiences, offering participants valuable perspectives on navigating growth opportunities and overcoming capital-raising challenges.
