Chandigarh, April 23:

In a significant political development in Amritsar, a large number of leaders from Congress, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Shiromani Akali Dal joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The induction was led by Rakesh Kumar (Rinku Valmiki), Vice Chairman of the SC Department, Punjab Congress.

The joining ceremony took place under the leadership of BJP Punjab Working State President Ashwani Sharma, in the presence of State Vice President Subhash Sharma, District President (Amritsar) Harwinder Sandhu, and State Media Head Vineet Joshi.

Prominent leaders who joined the BJP along with Rakesh Kumar (Rinku Valmiki) include Satish Mantu (Block President, Congress), Panna Lal Bhardwaj (Senior Congress Leader and President, Chheharta Bazaar), Surjit Singh Wadali (Vice President, OBC Department, DCC), Pardeep Sharma (Vice President, DCC), Deepak Singh (Block President, AAP), Rawaldeep Singh Mahal (AAP Councillor Candidate), and Rajan Sharma (ITI Chairman, Youth Akali Dal).

Other AAP leaders who joined the BJP include Bakhsinder Singh Billa, Somnath, Vajinder Singh Mahal, Gopi Surma, Surinder Sharma (Ram Ji), Lucky Mehta, and Lucky Mahal.

Other Congress leaders who joined the BJP include Dhara, Rajan Kumar, Harpal Singh (Pind Roriwal), Harpal Singh Ghumtala, Arash Deep Singh, Happy Suri, Raj Kumar, Anil Kumar, Mayank Suri, Parveen Varma, Surjit Singh Gumatala, Ajay, Maikal, Sonu Motta, Jaswant Dass, Sonu Kumar Wadali, Sandeep Kumar, Prince Kapoor, and Himanshu.

Additionally, Ashwani Suri, National Vice President of Anti-Corruption Committees, and Sorav Sharma, a social worker, also joined the BJP.
