Indoor Sports Championship concludes at Shoolini University

Solan, April 9, The Indoor Sports Championship at Shoolini University concluded and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines.
The championship featured a range of indoor games, including Table Tennis, Badminton, and Chess. Students displayed exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the competitions, making the event both competitive and engaging.
In Chess, Abhishek Kumar Jha secured the first position, while Vinamr Singh Gandhi finished as the runner-up. In Table Tennis Boys’ Singles, Abhishek emerged as the winner, followed by Rizul in second place. In Boys’ Doubles, Rizul and Mridul claimed the top spot, while Abhishek and Sooraj secured the second position.
Badminton events also witnessed intense matches. In Women’s Singles, Mrigna clinched the first position, with Nimisha as the runner-up. In Men’s Singles, Animish secured first place, followed by Deepansh. In Women’s Doubles, the duo of Mrigna and Anushka emerged as champions, while Srijal and Divanshi finished as runners-up. In Men’s Doubles, Vansh and Deepansh secured the first position, with Animish and Rohnit as runners-up. In Mixed Doubles, Aditya and Mrigna claimed the championship title, while Kunal and Suhana secured second place.
At the Prize Distribution Ceremony, Chancellor  Shoolini University, P  K Khosla, felicitated the winners and appreciated the efforts of all participants and organisers. Addressing the gathering, Prof Khosla emphasised the importance of sports in promoting discipline, teamwork, and overall personality development, and motivated students to actively participate in such activities.
Organised by the Sports Department from April 3 to April 7, the event was conducted under the guidance of Prof Neeraj Gandotra, Associate Dean, Student Welfare, who encouraged students to balance academics with active participation in sports.
