Chandigarh: Dr. Neeraj Goyal, a senior kidney transplant surgeon at a Panchkula private hospital was honoured by Anurag Thakur, Lok Sabha MP and former Union Minister during the Health Care Awards 2026 here today.
Dr. Goyal, who has performed more than 1000 kidney transplants, was felicitated for his outstanding role in advancing kidney transplant services and strengthening renal care access for patients from Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.
Speaking during the occasion, Dr. Goyal shared his insights on kidney health, major risk factors contributing to chronic kidney disease, and the importance of prevention and early diagnosis.
He also emphasized that increasing awareness, timely screening, and lifestyle modifications are key to reducing the growing burden of kidney diseases in the region.
