Punjab LSA Visit to Raipur , Jalandhar under Samriddh Gram Project

The Punjab Licensed Service Area (LSA) team visited Raipur Gram Panchayat, District Jalandhar on 20th August 2025 as part of the Samriddh Gram Project under BharatNet. The project aims to strengthen last-mile digital connectivity and empower rural communities with broadband services.
The visit was led by Shri Brij Mohan Setia, Deputy Director General, and Shri Punit Kumar, Assistant Director General, who convened the first Digital Access Committee (DAC) meeting in the village. DAC members were briefed on their role in ensuring effective use of BharatNet infrastructure for community benefit.
The team also inspected the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) equipment at the Gram Panchayat and interacted with school teachers, health centre staff, and residents. Villagers expressed satisfaction with high-speed internet services, citing improvements in education, healthcare, and governance.
The visit showcased the growing adoption of digital services in rural areas. Punjab LSA reaffirmed its commitment to expanding digital empowerment and inclusive growth across villages.
