Chandigarh, August 22:
The TiE Global Leadership Summit 2025 was inaugurated today with grandeur at The Lalit, Chandigarh. This two-day event (22–23 August) brings together global leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers, aiming to shape the future of startups and innovation.

This year, the summit is hosting leadership delegations from 32 TiE chapters — 28 from India and 1 each from Dubai, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia.

The inaugural session was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Nayab Singh Saini (Chief Guest), Shri Aseem Goyal (Former Minister, Haryana Government – Special Guest), TiE Global Chair Shri Murali Bukkapatnam, and TiE Chandigarh President Shri Puneet Verma.

Welcome Address – Shri Puneet Verma, President, TiE Chandigarh

Shri Puneet Verma welcomed all the dignitaries and global leaders, stating:
“TiE Chandigarh is building a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in North India. We are not only supporting entrepreneurs from Chandigarh but also from Haryana, Punjab, and Himachal. In the coming months, we plan to host an AI Summit in October 2025, and we look forward to the active support of the Haryana Government for the same. Our mission is to enable regional startups to dream big and reach the global stage.”

He specifically requested the Hon’ble Chief Minister to extend regular support to TiE Chandigarh, especially in making the upcoming AI Summit a grand success.

Keynote Address – Shri Murali Bukkapatnam, TiE Global Chair

Shri Murali Bukkapatnam began his keynote with “A tryst with TiE’s destiny: Reimagining our future together”. He emphasized that it is time for TiE to go beyond chapter-based identity and focus on ecosystem impact. He also outlined the vision of 100 TiE Chapters worldwide.

Highlighting the TiE Nurture Program, he assured that it will help entrepreneurs achieve new heights. He further committed that TiE will support entrepreneurs from Haryana in their “next level journey.”

He elaborated on the five pillars of TiE – Mentoring, Networking, Education, Incubation, and Funding, and invited the Hon’ble Chief Minister to participate in the TiE Global Summit scheduled from 4–7 January 2026 in Jaipur.

Address by Special Guest – Shri Aseem Goyal (Former Minister, Haryana Government)

Shri Aseem Goyal congratulated TiE Chandigarh for hosting such a grand event and said:
“The TiE Global Leadership Summit inspires youth to dream big and innovate. Haryana, with its strong industrial identity and Ease of Doing Business policies, is an ideal destination for startups and investors. The Haryana Government welcomes every entrepreneur who wishes to set up and grow their business here.”

Address by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Nayab Singh Saini

Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini expressed his gratitude, saying he was delighted to meet global leaders representing 32 TiE chapters.

He highlighted Haryana’s rapid progress since 2014 and shared how the government has supported SMEs and entrepreneurs across all sectors — Agriculture, Education, Health, IT, and Manufacturing — through various incentives, simplified NOCs, and industry-friendly reforms.

The Chief Minister further announced the creation of AI Hubs at Panchkula and Gurugram to provide direct support to startups and entrepreneurs.

He proudly mentioned that Haryana is the first state in India to actively seek inputs from the public and successful professionals across different sectors before finalizing the annual budget, ensuring that it benefits 28 million citizens of the state.

Responding to Shri Puneet Verma’s request, he assured full government support for the AI Summit in October 2025.

In conclusion, he invited all global leaders to begin their entrepreneurial journey in Haryana, assuring them of complete assistance at every stage.
