City BJP sets record; organises highest number of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programs in country
Chandigarh, July 30
Chandigarh BJP has set a record in holding 112th episode of Mann Ki Baat in highest number of booths.
In a report released by the centre government, Chandigarh had the highest percentage of booth coverage in organising the event.
The city BJP organised the event in 50.5 percent of its total booths. The BJP here has total 614 booth. The live Mann Ki Baat was organised in 310 booths. It was attended by 4205 people. It was followed by Gujarat (47.4%) and Delhi (46.7%).
Reacting on the development, Chandigarh BJP President Jatinder Pal Malhotra said, “It could be possible due to team work. We started holding back to back meetings with booth incharges well in time. We coordinated with them to understand where all programs are being organised and also addressed their concerns.”
“Not just this 112th episode, we take all Mann Ki Baat events very seriously. We are proud to be part of the journey in which our respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses the entire country on burning issues. When he can take out time and devote himself to the public, then what stops us from taking his message forward and spreading among people,” he said further.
“Every word he speaks has impact on people. We found that people really liked social and national issues taken up by him. We will continue to work towards holding more number of such events,” Malhotra added.
The city BJP was also at the forefront in activating its booths during the recent Lok Sabha elections. Door to door campaign and public feedbacks were held at booth-level.
