The Department of Community Education and Disability Studies at Panjab University, Chandigarh, celebrated Van Mahotsav with a significant plantation drive on July 23, 2024 at 11.30 a.m . The event was a continuation of the Van Mahotsav program inaugurated on July 11, 2024, by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Renu Vig, of Panjab University. The drive aimed to enhance the green cover within the campus and promote environmental awareness among students and faculty.The plantation drive commenced in the premises of the Department of Community Education and Disability Studies. On this auspicious occasion, the Chairperson of the department, Dr. Saifur Rahman, led the initiative by planting hibiscus and sudarshan trees. The event saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, and the gardener, who played a crucial role in the successful execution of the drive.
