During last few months, the Estate Office Chandigarh has issued notices to the allottees/lessees/tenants who defaulted on government payments on basis of Ground Rent/Lease amount/rent and various other reasons pertaining to their allotted sites.
The proceedings on these cases are also pending in the courts of SDMs exercising the powers of Estate Officer, UT Chandigarh.
Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh, Deputy Commissioner- cum- Estate Officer Chandigarh has asked the SDMs to expedite the recovery proceedings and take strict action against the defaulters by ordering for resumption/cancellation of sites where payments are not made even after multiple opportunities. He further cautioned the allottees/lessees/tenants of various properties of Estate Office who are defaulting on dues of the said properties to pay the outstanding dues in time, failing which action as per provisions of Chandigarh Estate Rules for resumption/cancellation of allotment will be taken against them.
