A Value-Added Course for Research Scholars on ‘Professional Excellence and Personal Finance Management for Students’ organized by Department of Botany and Sociology in collaboration with Human Resource Development Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh, (under the aegis of RUSA) commenced today at HRDC, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The first day of the course kickstarted with an Ice Breaking Session by Mr Manoj Sehgal , Director , IFM Fincoach The day one witnessed highly interactive sessions by Ms Amanjot Kaur, Director, IFM Fincoach, Chandigarh. She talked about how to be Emotionally Intelligent (EI) at workplace, importance of EI and steps to develop it. She also talked about Inter & intrapersonal relationships at workplace, 3 egos state, self-awareness, and self-actualization which was greatly appreciated by the audience. Students keenly participated in activity based interaction on individual action plan for developing emotional Intelligence. During the following session, she also discussed about Understanding your Money and clarified the concepts of assets, liabilities, investments, and various financial products. The idea of three bucket approach generated a lot of interest amongst the participants. The audience were kept engaged with a lot of activities studded throughout the sessions, like Financial Goal Setting & Spend analyser. The course is being coordinated by Dr Jaspreet Kaur and Prof. Richa Puri, Department of Botany, PU, Chandigarh.
