On 15th August, St Annes Convent School, Sector 32, proudly celebrated “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 years of Indian Independence, with a special cultural programme performed by the teachers and students of the school.

The Independence Day is one of the most important events of the Indian calendar, commemorating the peaceful freedom struggle of our founding fathers and mothers, setting a shining example for the entire world.

The event was presided over by the honorable Chief Guest Dr Neelakantan Jayasankar, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, School Manager Rev. Father Ambrose and Sister Principal Jessy Augustine. The event was inaugurated with the hoisting of the national flag, after which the entire school proudly sang the National Anthem in patriotic unison. The students and teachers then presented a vibrant program consisting of patriotic poems, songs, dances, and a play celebrating the unity and diversity of our nation.

The event was conducted with great fervour and patriotic zeal leaving a deep impression on all those present.
