Chandigarh sunita shastri: Om Puri was an actor who, with his brilliant work, had always left a deep impact on the audience. From appearing in TV shows to showcasing his talent in the Bollywood films, Om Puri made a long way and even today, almost 4 years after his demise, people have him in their hearts!Now, as a tribute to this legend, a film titled ‘Omprakash Zindabad’ is being released in cinemas on 18th December,2020 under the banner of Panorama Studios. Earlier the film’s title was ‘Rambhajjan Zindabad’ but later it was changed as a heartfelt tribute to the late actor.The poster of the movie says, “After ‘Ardh Satya’, ‘Jaane bhi do yaaron’,’Chachi 420′ and ‘malamaal weekly’, Om Puri’s last memorable film.This upcoming movie is helmed by Ranjeet Gupta. It’s producers are Khalid Kidwai and Madhav Chitale.

The cast of the movie includes Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Jagdeep, Khushboo Kamal, Ishtiyak Khan, Zakir Hussain and of course, Om Puri for the one last time.Talking about the movie releasing after quite a long time, producer Khalid Kidwai told how After the completion of the film, it faced a lot of issues from censor board and then Om Puri expired. Finally the film had got a green signal from censor but due to Covid-19, it was again put on hold. Now after a long wait the film is going to release on 18th December.Khalid Kidwai said,”I’m thankful to Panorama Studio for getting on board. This film is a tribute to late actor Om Puri as it’s his last film.The name Om Prakash Zindabad is dedicated to him. I hope audiences will like this satire.”

Khalid also paid his tribute to Jagdeep sir as it is also his last film. He also said,”I’m very happy that the film is releasing and emotional too because both the amazing actors are not present amongst us.”
