Republic Day celebrated with fervour in Excel Society in Sector 48
Chandigarh. Republic day was celebrated with fervour and enthusiasm in Excel Society in Sector 48. The National Flag was unfurled by Rajnish Sharma, President of the society. Sharma paid tributes to the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for freedom of our country. He also highlighted the achievements and efforts being made by the present management committee for overall improvement in the society including provisioning of lifts.
On the occasion, a colourful cultural programme was also presented by the kids of the society which included dance performances and patriotic songs. The programme was well conducted by SK Dhawan who said that our country was now being recognised as a global leader.
Other participants included Sudhir Malhotra, Ganesh Chaudhary and RS Khokhar who congratulated the organisers and thanked all the residents for participating in the event. The event ended with distribution of sweets.
