Today, on the orders of Sh. Jagdeep Dhankhar, Vice-President of India and Chancellor of Panjab University, Chandigarh, Prof. Renu Vig, Dean of University Instructions, Panjab University, Chandigarh has assumed the charge as new Vice Chancellor of Panjab University till alternative arrangements are made or until further orders, which ever is earlier. Earlier the Vice Chancellor Sh Raj Kumar resigned citing family reasons. The resignation was accepted by Chancellor, Panjab University.
