As per the directions of Govt. of India, precaution dose for 18 years and above beneficiaries will be provided free of cost from tomorrow onwards i.e. 15th July, 2022. A Covid Vaccination campaign “Covid Vaccine Amrit Mahotsav” will be launched from tomorrow (15.07.22). This campaign will be run for 75 days from 15th July 2022 to 30th September, 2022. This free of cost precaution dose of Covishield and Covaxin will be provided to all eligible beneficiaries in all major government hospitals of Chandigarh. Har Ghar Dastak “2.0” Covid Vaccination Campaign is already going on. Special campaign for Covid Vaccination camps in various schools will also be launched in Chandigarh after few days. A gap of six months (26 weeks) from the date of 2nd dose is required for this precaution dose. The vaccine for precaution dose will be same as that of 2nd dose. Covid vaccination certificates will also be provided at the site of vaccination to the beneficiaries. Health Department, Chandigarh requests the residents of Chandigarh to avail benefits of this Jan Abhiyan and get themselves vaccinated against Covid.
