In an ongoing pursuit to attain the highest ranking in the Swachhata Sarvekshan 2023, the Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration is working tirelessly to maintain the cleanliness. From the 10th to the 15th of August, 2023, the Swachhata Sarvekshan team will be visiting Chandigarh to assess Swachhata of Chandigarh.
Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration is ensured the cleanliness of roads, Construction & Demolition (C&D) Waste management, and upkeep of public spaces falling within its jurisdiction.
However, it has been noticed that despite our dedicated work, there are instances of waste and malba being discarded on Administration lands and roads, particularly during night time.
To combat this issue and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, the Police Department has been requested to be vigilant and catch individuals found littering or disposing of waste improperly and to stop the offenders from littering and take action against such offenders. It is our responsibility to ensure that every citizen respects and contributes to the cleanliness of our city.
We kindly urge all residents and visitors to join hands with the Chandigarh Administration in this noble endeavour. Refrain from throwing waste or malba on Administration lands and roads. Dispose of waste responsibly in designated bins. Encourage friends and neighbours to uphold cleanliness standards.
