Faculty and residents of the Advanced Eye Centre, PGIMER have won 14 awards at the recently concluded All India Ophthalmological Society Conference in Kolkata

The Advanced Eye Centre proudly announces that the faculty and residents of the Advanced Eye Centre have won 14 awards at the recently concluded All India Ophthalmological Society Conference in Kolkata, India. Dr. Reema Bansal, Dr. Savleen Kaur, Dr. Simar Rajan Singh, and Dr. Ashok have been honored with the prestigious AIOS International Heroes Awards, recognizing their significant contributions to the field of ophthalmology on a global platform. Additionally, Dr. Hitisha has won the Young Researcher Award for her postgraduate thesis guided by Dr. S. S. Pandav. She has also won the Best Free Paper in the Glaucoma session. Furthermore, Dr. Shweta Chaurasia, Associate Professor, won the Best Poster and Best Paper awards for Strabismus. Dr. Faisal, Associate Professor, was also recognized for his work and awarded the Best Podium Presentation. Dr. Mohit, Dr. Shweta, and Dr. Savleen were also commended for their invaluable contributions as reviewers for the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology. Lastly, Dr. Abha and Dr. Hitisha have received the Third Prize for Teachers of Tomorrow at AIOC 2023. In addition to the above awards, Dr. Anchal Thakur has been adjudged victorious in the photography competition. These accolades to the faculty and residents of the Advanced Eye Centre reaffirm the position of the Eye Centre as a leading hub for patient care and excellence in ophthalmic research and education.
